I am very excited and proud to be the on-site owner of the new Goddard School located in West Cobb. As a mother of two children, I recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. I first discovered Goddard in 2003, when I was looking for a preschool for my oldest son. The quality of education offered at Goddard school combined with our personal experience enabled us to choose Goddard. My husband and I believe that a quality Early Childhood education helps in providing a strong foundation for every child.
I am Stephanie Carter the director here at The Goddard School. I am a mother of 5 adult children and 3 grandchildren. I have been a childcare educator for over 20yrs. I enjoy being able to witness children learn in different ways. I believe my biggest contribution in childcare is understanding that every child is unique and each child learns differently than others. In my spare time, I love reading, shopping, sports and live music.
My name is Roshunda Johnson, and I am the Assistant Director here at The Goddard School because I truly believe in Goddard School philosophy and curriculum. My name is Elizabeth Craig. I come to Goddard with a Bachelor's Degree. I have been educating in this field of Early Childhood Education since 2000. I joined Goddard in 2013. In addition to teaching children, I am also a mother to two teenage daughters. I want the children in my care to learn respect for themselves and others and confidence in their abilities. I am thrilled to be at The Goddard School as the lead Pre-kindergarten teacher.
I was born and raised in Marietta GA. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2001. I have a cat named Graham, who is my special fur baby. I love spending time with my family and friends and also enjoy traveling. I went to Central Georgia Technical College for Early Childhood Education and Development. Hello my name is Mrs. Moni. I am originally from Bangladesh. I have 3 sons who attend Goddard during the summer and they absolutely enjoy being here. I have been in childcare for 3 years at various schools in Atlanta. I enjoy working with children, and when I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and shopping. I am looking forward to an amazing new year here at The Goddard School where I can watch children learn, and grow.
I am Dawn Porter and I am proud to be the Director here because I strongly believe in The Goddard School’s philosophy & curriculum. I bring 26 years of Early Childhood experience with me. I am a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College where I earned my undergraduate degree in English Education. My first job after graduating was in a two year old room where I fell in love with early childhood and have been there ever since. I have worked with all age groups and have also worked administratively. I love working with our future generations and help laying a solid foundation for them.
My name is Denise Chappell and I have been working in childcare for 18 years. I am originally from Virginia and moved to Georgia in April of 2020. I have my CDA in preschool and have experience with all age groups ranging from infant to school age. My love for children started early and I love to watch them grow. I took on an administrative position recently because I love making a difference in children’s and teachers’ lives as I watch them thrive through a developmentally appropriate program.
